Broadside Board kit
The Broadside Board kit is a small task board for one person and their AI agent. It runs on your own Cloudflare account, has a page for you, and an MCP connector so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Grok or any agent that speaks MCP can read and write the same cards. It is free to use under the MIT license.
The code lives at github.com/broadsidecode/broadside-board.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Node 22.5 or newer.
- A Cloudflare account and an API token you create yourself. Give the token D1 Edit, Workers Scripts Edit and Account Settings Read. A custom domain also needs Zone Read and Workers Routes Edit.
- An AI agent that can run commands, or about ten minutes of your own time.
Set it up
Section titled “Set it up”- Download the repository from GitHub and open a terminal in its folder.
- Put your token in the environment as
CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN. Keep it out of chat. - Run
node setup.js. It asks a few questions, creates the database, deploys the Worker, and creates your first board and card. - Write down the owner password and the bootstrap code it prints. They are shown once.
- Open the board address it prints and sign in with the owner password.
- Add the connector to your agent with the MCP address it prints. Pick the name
agenton the consent page and enter the bootstrap code.
An agent can follow all of this on its own. Point it at SETUP.md in the repository, which is written for that.

Section titled “What is inside”Cards in columns, a strip of things that need you, comments on every card, an activity feed, asks that only you can approve, rollback and history. Extra modules for starting agents, GitHub, production cards and card generation are off until you turn them on.
